The high-lying vineyards are sparsely planted with only 5-10,000 vines per hectare - this, together with the location 521 meters above sea level, means that the grapes do not yield as much, but in return complex and refined wines with lots of finesse.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\n\u003cdiv class=\"section\"\u003e\n\n\u003cbr\u003e At the Feudo di Mezzo winery, the grapes are gently vinified and then aged in small wooden barrels for 6 months.\u003cbr\u003e The result is a beautiful purple-colored red wine, with an aroma of rosehip and cherry, as well as vanilla and chocolate.\u003cbr\u003e The taste is initially light, but if it is allowed to decant for 1 hour before serving, it develops in a darker direction and shows more weight. There are good tannins in the aftertaste, where you also sense plums and pomegranates.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\n\u003cdiv class=\"section\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\n\u003cdiv class=\"section\"\u003e Enjoy Etna Rosso with light meat dishes such as veal or pork.
