The legendary Cristal Champagne has finally been released in its latest vintage, 2014. The exquisite Champagne has been aged for 7 years 'sur lie' in Louis Roederer's cellars, and reaches near perfection.

Originally, Cristal was created for the Russian Tsar Alexander, who wanted a unique champagne in a clear bottle with a flat bottom - that way he wanted to avoid someone poisoning the wine, or using the cavity at the bottom of the bottle to place a bomb.

For many years to come, Cristal was reserved for royalty and heads of state, but fortunately it is now available to all champagne lovers.

Roederer only produces Cristal in very limited quantities, approximately 200,000 bottles - which is not enough to meet demand.

Tastingclub has been an official retailer of Cristal since 2014, and there is a tradition that this wonderful champagne sells out very quickly - When we launched Cristal 2008 and 2012, we had to report that it was sold out on the same day. So don't wait too long if you want to secure this gem for your collection.
