Collection: Ramos Pinto Port Wine

Ramos Pinto The Kiss

Ramos Pinto is one of the smaller, but highly acclaimed port wine houses. Since its establishment in 1880, it has been Ramos Pinto's undisputed goal to make quality port wine, which to that extent can be said to have been achieved today. The main shareholder in Ramos Pinto is Louis Roederer Champagne - something that underlines why quality is a key word at Ramos Pinto.

Ramos Pinto owns so many of his own vineyards in the Douro that a large part of the production comes from these, and the harvest and vinification are expertly managed by the renowned cellar master Joâo Nicolau de Almeida. Innovation in port wine production may be small, but Ramos Pinto has, through impressive pioneering work, been behind several initiatives that have improved production, even to such an extent that Ramos Pinto's methods are now being copied by many other port wine houses.

As something very special for a port wine house, Ramos Pinto also produces renowned red wines, namely the acclaimed Duas Quintas red wines. So it can safely be said that Ramos Pinto is a port wine house beyond the ordinary.
