A fine single-vineyard Cognac from Chateau Fontpinot owned by Frapin. With a proportion of up to 100 years old Cognac, this is truly a Cognac for connoisseurs!

In 2020, Fontpinot XO was selected by Wine Enthusiast magazine to be one of the world's 100 best spirits!

In the glass, Fontpinot has a delicious amber color. Here there is beautiful fullness, elegance and depth in the taste. It is a Cognac that truly develops its greatness in the glass.

Château Fontpinot is both one of the most notable and one of the largest estates in Cognac with its 145 hectares of vineyards. Here, the Ugni blanc grape, locally called St. Emilion, is grown exclusively.

Another explanation for the exquisite product is the art of blending Cognac. It is composed of Cognacs of widely varying ages. The oldest Cognac in the blend is around 100 years old, and the youngest is at least 8 years old. If you calculate the average for a bottle of Château Fontpinot, it contains Cognac that is at least 20 years old.

It is a powerful and characterful Cognac with the famous "Rancio" character (which is special for very old cognacs), and at the same time a very nice harmony between strength, finesse and aroma. Something that represents the classic character of a top Grande Champagne.

In 1998, Château Fontpinot, which was not classified as an XO at the time, was presented blind along with 30 different XOs at the world's toughest judging at the Wine & Spirits Challenge in London. Château Fontpinot not only won the highest ranking of the tasting - the "Trophy" - but also the Gold Medal. No wonder Frapin decided to sell Château Fontpinot as an XO in 1999!
