Jean Vesselle

Jean Vesselle is a small independent Champagne producer, located in the town of Bouzy, known for its good pinot noir grapes. Jean Vesselle is a family business that dates back 300 years and where the production of Pinot Noir red wine was in particular the focus.

In the period between World War I and World War II, however, it became necessary to replant all the grapes, as both the ravages of war and the Phylloxera phylloxera had done their part to minimize the grape harvest. And in the period after World War II , Jean Vesselle himself began to make the Champagnes that would come to bear his name.

Today, Jean Vesselle 's daughter, Delphine, continues the family business. It wasn't meant to be this way, but during a study trip in the 1990s, she was called home from Australia when her father was dying. She promised, as his only child, to continue the family business and under Delphine's leadership , Jean Vesselle Champagne has flourished. The small house only produces approx. 80,000 bottles a year and at TastingClub we are proud to offer this small independent producer to you.
