"There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne."

-Bette Davis

Louis Roederer Brut Premier has recently been named the World's Best Non Vintage Champagne by the Revue du Vin de France, with the words “Roederer is Champagne's answer to Hermès”. It couldn't be said more beautifully and at TastingClub we have no doubt; Louis Roederer is one of the finest we have to offer.
The fact that Roederer's Cristal is one of the World's Best Vintage Champagnes is much better understood when you have tasted Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne. Despite being the House of Roederer's "regular" Champagne, Brut Premier is an example of why
Roederer is considered by many to be the World's Best Champagne.

The manufacturer

Louis Roederer was founded in 1776 and is today one of the only independent houses in Champagne still owned and controlled by the founder's heirs. Louis Roederer 's philosophy was that the only way to produce the best champagne was to control the entire process; from ownership of the vineyards, to harvesting, aging and vinification.

Roederer owns 214 hectares of the best vineyards in the Champagne region – classified with the prestigious “Premier and Grand Cru” designations – this, combined with over 200 years of experience in champagne production, makes Roederer a special experience.

At the helm of Roederer today is Jean-Claude Rouzaud, himself a trained oenologist and a living legend in the world of wine. With a sure eye for quality, Jean-Claude Rouzaud has led Louis Roederer five to the position the house has today, where one of the superlatives; " the world's best champagne " is fully deserved.

Roederer Brut Premier , in this Magnum Champagne bottle, is the epitome of the luxury and opulence many associate with Champagne .

The wine
"Brut Premier is made from a minimum of four different vintages, of which 3 come from the “Réserve” (6-10%). It is an ideal blend of 60% red Pinot Noir, 6% Pinot Meunier and 34% white Chardonnay. Matured in bottle for an average of three to four years, Brut Premier provides a perfect balance with a large, fruity bouquet. Here you will find exotic characters of honey, vanilla, almonds and toasted bread and at the same time a delicate and complex finish. A very exciting mix of power, fire and softness."
