Vino Nobile di Montepulciano - Salcheto

Nobile de Montepulciano is one of the most famous wine types in Tuscany.

As always, predominantly made from the Sangiovese grape and grown organically and biodynamically according to Salcheto's principles. This is a concentrated production, with a small yield, where only about 1 bottle of wine per vine is expected.

The yield is extremely limited - each vine yields approximately one bottle of wine. After the initial fermentation, Nobile is matured in barrels, distributed so that 70% of the wine is in small wooden barrels and the last 30% in large 3000 liter tonneaux barrels. After bottling, the wine is aged for another 6 months before being shipped.

Nobile de Montepulciano is a charming acquaintance that is already very popular when we hold tastings. Dominated by dark berries and with lots of juicy body, it is rounded off with slightly smoky notes from the barrel aging and a slightly spicy aftertaste - there are many layers of flavor to discover here!

Serve it in large glasses, preferably with game or good beef. Nobile is a great experience now, but will become even more so after 8-10 years of aging.
