Love

After 13 years of faithful service, I think it's only fair to thank my lovely better half for sticking with me and being a faithful sparring partner.

Luxury is also about profit, which is why this week's blog gives space to some thoughts on marriage, partnership, dating, or whatever you choose to call it.

TastingClub is still a young webshop , but I can already say that we would not be where we are if it were not for Louise, who has been an invaluable partner in the start-up phase. The waves have been high, ideas have been discussed and rejected, but all the way through there has been a common desire that this project MUST succeed.

One thing is the driving force needed to create something new, another is the fire that keeps you going when everything is burning up and you would rather drop everything and start over.

Now we are no longer just talking about webshops and Champagne, but about life as a whole. Love is for me the fire that is the greatest driving force, the glue that binds everything together. Love believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, stands somewhere. It does not come by itself - no matter how in love you are, love must be cultivated and refined in order to last and become a lasting fire that you can use in your everyday life.

I really believe that it's about giving each other space, that love helps us accept our counterpart's mistakes and shortcomings.

Well, I guess that's enough philosophical reflections on a cold August Monday. Louise, I love you and hope you're as determined as I am to live at least 13 more years.

The day was of course celebrated in a proper way, with Flowers, Champagne , Sushi and everything that goes with it.
