Truly a wine that makes an impression!

The Intro Barolo from Carlo and his sons is based on grapes from the entire area, but with an impressive age for the vines – the oldest are 60 years old! Juiciness is paramount and the vines bear small, thick-skinned grapes packed with flavor. Carlo Revello's Barolo is macerated for 14 days, aged for 24 months in barriques (20% new and 80% used) and then 6 months in the bottle before it goes on sale. Top-class structure and elegance, but with big and deep fruit. The keyword is balance and Revello hits the spot. Perhaps one of the most refreshing and easy-to-drink Barolos on the market?

The Revello brothers Carlo and Lorenzo have always been the closest disciples at La Morra to Elio Altare, who is one of the absolute pioneers of the modern interpretation of Barolo. That is, with green harvesting, short maceration and aging in small barrique barrels, rather than the classic and traditional large Botti barrels. La Morra is notorious for its lighter, livelier and ready-to-drink Barolos, which matches Revello's style eminently.
The Revello brothers decided years ago to split their vineyard in two so that their wine-educated children would not have to fight over the helm of the original domain. This means that Carlo Revello e Figli will eventually be run by Carlo's two sons, Erik and Niklas (he is married to a Swede), who have 7.5 hectares of La Morra's best fields to romp on. Judging by the domain's wines in the debut vintages, it will be a success story of sorts: Juicy wines with deep, pure and balsamic fruit, creaminess from the barrel treatment and marked but refined tannins are the house's – and Carlo's – hallmarks.
