In the idyllic Chablis, just a picturesque two-hour journey from Paris, lies the Michaut family’s wonderful vineyard, founded in the 1960s by the visionary Henri Michaut. His business flourished under the loving care of his talented sons, Jean, Christian, and Bernard, and reached new heights with Bernard’s charming son, Adrien, in 2010. Initially selling their wines through a local cooperative, in 2011 the family took the bold step of creating their own enchanting wines. Their unwavering belief in their own abilities and the potential of their vines would eventually lead to beautiful, pure and unadulterated wines. The vineyard produces Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru and Bourgogne Pinot Noir, and stands as a testament to the Michaut family’s extraordinary commitment to the noble art of Burgundian winemaking – a tribute to terroir and a celebration of competent winemaking.
This wine is an ideal companion to dishes such as fish, roasted foie gras, veal, or mature cheeses such as Comté and aged goat cheese. To best enjoy this wine, it should be served at 12°C. With an aging potential of 7 to 10 years, the wine is not only an experience for now, but also promises to develop and improve over time.
