Passi Reali Appasimento - Valle Reale - Organic

Elegant and soft Appasimento in the northern Italian style.

Appasimento is the name for the process where the grapes are dried before being pressed - in the same way as when making Amarone - the only difference is that only half of the grapes are dried in an Appasimento, the other half are fresh grapes.

The taste is pleasantly round and soft, but still concentrated, almost meaty. The dark berries in the aroma, which are so typical of Amarone and Appasimento, are also present here; you get lots of fruit, hints of licorice and a slightly spicy aftertaste.

Passi Reali is a wine that definitely benefits from being poured into a carafe half an hour before serving. Drink it with roast duck with traditional side dishes.
