A completely perfect glass from the Rhone legend, Jaboulet.

Power and intensity are paramount in this wine, where Grenache (as is usually the case in the Rhone) is the dominant grape, but also with fine notes from Syrah and Mourvedre, which together with barrel aging gives a dense, harmonious concentration.
The taste impressions cover dark berries, hints of licorice, blackcurrant liqueur and wild herbs.
Here you get a wine that could easily be mistaken for good Chateauneuf du Pape, but at a fraction of the price.
