Collection: Humberto Canale

Humberto Canale can trace its history back to 1909, and it is still the founder's family that is at the helm.
Humberto Canale is located in the Rio Negro province of Patagonia, at 39.2' latitude, which is slightly further south than the other large and somewhat newer wine region in Patagonia, Neuquen. It has 150 hectares, which are planted almost exclusively with originally French grapes such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Semillón, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc.
The temperature in Rio Negro is cooler due to its more southern location, and the harvest is about 20 days later than in Mendoza, for example. The slower ripening gives the grapes an excellent balance between sugar and natural acidity, which makes the wines intense and full of character.
The fact that these are "cold climate wines" is particularly noticeable in their Pinot Noir, but also in the white and sparkling wines.
