Collection: Numanthia

When Bodegas Numanthia was founded, the goal was to make the best red wine in the Toro area. Although they only started making wine under the Numanthia name in 1998, the first vineyards on the property were planted back in 1880.
Wine is still made on these amazing vines, which have proven resilient over the years and survived the ravages of the Phylloxera phylloxera, extremely hot summers and bitterly cold winters.
Wine has been made in the Toro area for more than 2,000 years and in fact Bodegas Numanthia is named in honor of the village of Numancia , who fought heroically against ancient Rome and chose death over surrender and dishonor.
Bodegas Numanthia are equally uncompromising in their approach to winemaking, and the quality level of their Tinta de Toro -based red wines is incredibly high. The reviews of Numanthia's red wines speak for themselves; this is some of the best Spanish red wine on the market right now.
