Collection: Paul Jaboulet Aîné

Paul Jaboulet Logo

The Paul Jaboulet Aîné winery traces its roots back to 1834, when Antoine Jaboulet purchased his first vineyards in the northern Rhône. The goal from the beginning was to produce top-quality red wine. Jaboulet's energy and passion were legendary and his wines quickly gained a strong reputation.

In the late 1990s, Paul Jaboulet faced his greatest challenge when Gérard Jaboulet died suddenly, leaving the family business in a critical situation. This was resolved when Frey, another family business, acquired Paul Jaboulet Aîné in 2006. Since then, Jaboulet's reputation for delicious Rhône wines has been reestablished and the company's wines are better than ever.

"Welcome back Paul Jaboulet Aîné!" That's how Robert Parker reviewed the fantastic Hermitage La Chapelle 2009 and gave it a whopping 98 points! And here at TastingClub we completely agree; Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the best red wines from the Rhône we've tasted in a long time.
