Forget everything you know about conventional spiced rum. This is a far cry from the syrupy, artificial versions that have dominated the category for far too long! Compagnie des Indes Spiced is made with 80% rum from the Dominican Republic and 20% rum from Venezuela, which is gently infused with real spices over a period of 2 weeks. The recipe includes ginger, vanilla, licorice, nutmeg and black pepper, and the only 15 grams of sugar per liter gives a completely new experience of Spiced Rum. It doesn't even have caramel coloring added! Bravo!
Color: Light golden.
Aroma: The aroma feels complex and very “real” for a spiced rum. There are notes of ginger, citrus, pepper and vanilla.
Tasting notes: Perfect balance between sweet and spicy. Warm notes of clove, licorice, oak and thyme.
Serving suggestion: Can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.
