Chateau de La Riviere 2015 Fronsac - Bordeaux

The small wine district of Fronsac is located right in the "butter hole" between Saint-Emilion and Pomerol in Bordeaux.

Here, the wines are known for their large, full-bodied wines, where the Merlot grape dominates the experience – just like in Pomerol. And Chateau de La Riviere is no exception.

Here we have the area's, without a doubt, best wine castle.

In the glass La Riviere is garnet red with a light purple sheen.

The nose is intense and complex, marked by a beautiful symbiosis between fruit, minerality and spices.
Notes of dark chocolate, blueberries and licorice.

In the mouth it is pleasant and fruity. The wine is elegant, balanced and well supported by its structure. The tannins are perfectly rounded and in harmony with the structure. The latter provide freshness and liveliness and the whole ends pleasantly with a fruity finish. A wine that can already be enjoyed in its youth, but which has good potential towards 2020 - 2033.
