A classic yet modern Pomerol with impressive balance and charm. The 2020 vintage offers dark, concentrated fruit, silky tannins and an elegant, spicy finish. The wine is made with a predominance of Merlot (96%) and a touch of Cabernet Franc, fermented in steel tanks and then aged for 16–18 months in French barriques, 60% of which were new.
The nose opens with layers of dark cherries, blackberries, plums, licorice, mocha and a touch of cedar and wet earth. In the mouth it is creamy and full-bodied with great concentration and finesse – wrapped in a fine minerality and a slightly toasted undertone from the barrel aging.
Serving suggestion : Decant 1–2 hours before serving. Pairs well with lamb, game, beef and mature cheeses.
