Top wine from the heights of Burgundy – intense, elegant and uncompromising
This is serious wine. Chapuis' Corton is the house's flagship - created on one of Burgundy's most iconic slopes. Full-bodied and complex with layers upon layers of cherries, wild strawberries, leather, tobacco and a wealth of nuances. Only 8% new cask, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak undisturbed. A wine of depth, precision and longevity.
The price is high – and it should be. Because here you get a Corton with real class, created by a domaine that masters the balance between intensity and finesse.
About the manufacturer:
Domaine Chapuis has over 170 years of experience with wine in Burgundy. The family has its home at the foot of the Corton hill and today works sustainably under HVE3 certification. The wines are classic Burgundy – clean, mineral and always with character. The barrels are French and used sparingly, so that the expression remains clear and honest.
170 years of wine history in the Côte de Beaune
The Chapuis family has been making wine since 1850, when Pierre Pavelot bought 1.6 hectares on the Charlemagne field. His daughter married Antoine Chapuis, and thus began the long history of a wine family in Burgundy.
Today, the 6th generation, Claire and Pierre Chapuis, are slowly taking over the responsibility – in close collaboration with their parents Maurice and Anne-Marie. The family owns a total of 11 hectares in the Côte de Beaune, divided between both Pinot Noir and two small plots of Chardonnay.
Respect for nature and tradition
Although Chapuis is not certified organic, they work with great care and responsibility. Their HVE3 certification (High Environmental Value) commits to high biodiversity, minimal use of pesticides and sustainable solutions in the field and cellar.
