Six generations in the Côte de Nuits, winegrowers since the Sun King. At Domaine de la Poulette, they know how to prune a vine and what makes good wine. The women of the family have been the driving force for centuries and today it is François Michaut and his daughter Hélène who strive to keep the bar high. The profile is cold-fermented wines with finesse in metric measurements and that very special juiciness that must almost be in the winemaker's genes.

How should a chardonnay actually taste? Lovely lemon zest, white flowers and summer, if you ask François Michaut. And certainly not wood, coconut and canned peaches. Chardonnay from Burgundy is about elegance and that is clear and palatable already here in the domain's introversion, which fulfills all dreams of a basic Burgundy.
