The wine is made from Chardonnay from the San Marzano and Salento areas in Puglia, on selected plots that are located approx. 100 m. above sea level, and that have a subsoil with a high lime content, which provides good drainage in depth. This ensures white wines with good finesse and aroma. The grapes are harvested from mid to late August. After destemming, skin maceration for a few hours and gentle pressing, the wine is fermented in steel tanks and matured for 4 months in French wooden barrels, with continuous stirring.
Chardonnay “Talò” has a beautiful, light golden color and a very elegant aroma of white flowers, tropical fruits and a bit of vanilla from the wooden barrels. The taste is also quite delicate and fresh, with mineral and slightly salty notes at the end. The wine has a good balance between dryness, velvet, alcohol and finesse. A very delicious Italian white wine. Serve it with appetizers with seafood or fish, with vegetable dishes, white meat and firm cheeses.
