Figuero Milagros de Figuero 2017 - Ribera del Duoro

Milagros de Figuero comes from the Paraje del Camino de Los Frailes, near the banks of the Duero River, where the soil is composed of silt, sand, clay and gravel. These plots are the mother of the vineyard: a thousand vines planted between 1940 and 1956, given to José Maria and his wife Milagros Figuero as a wedding gift in 1961.

This wine is the most elegant and delicate of Figueroa's wines, in honor of Milagros, who takes care of her roses, just as José Maria takes care of his vines, a love that is honored with a rose on the bottle. On the nose, you will find elegant and complex notes of red gooseberries, currants, candied fruits, fruit yogurt, as well as toffee, cigar and violet. On the palate, the wine is fresh, elegant and harmonious with soft tannins and a clear minerality. Milagros de Figuero is matured for 14 months in 500 liter French oak barrels.

With vines aged 40-80 years and fields in the prestigious La Horra area, home to Peter Sisseck's famous Pingus wines, there's no doubt that this winery has found the recipe for success. With several Parker ratings of 95 points, it's clear that Tinto Figuero has made a big impression.
