Graffetta Syrah - Sicily

Graffetta has a mere 22 hectares of sun-baked fields in Sicily and close to the sea. Here, the climatic conditions are perfect for growing not only local grapes such as Nero D'Avola, but also international grapes such as Syrah.

Full-fat blackberries, dark chocolate, wood-burning stove smoke and cherry liqueur. Graffetta Syrah is an orgy of dark aromas and perfect for a roast on the grill. It is made exclusively from French Syrah, which thrives in southeastern Sicily, where the cities are yellow and the juice from the grapes is blood red. In the slightly warmer climate, Syrah becomes a round, rich and silky affair, which with a little barrel aging gains beautiful complexity. Graffetta is a top-notch domain with really well-placed fields on the area's impounded seabed, which gives the wine a salty and mineral touch.
