BESKRIVELSE

Gewürztraminer is almost synonymous with wine from Alsace. The distinctive grape is a good example of the blend of exotic character and charming crispness found in Alsatian wines, that is, if they - like this Gewürztraminer from Hubert Beck - are good.
 
Gewürz means spicy and that is exactly what you get with this grape; a spicy character. Hubert Beck's Gewürztraminer has a beautiful, classic aroma of elderflower and exotic fruit with a very charming lightness in the taste.
 
The aftertaste is quite fresh, which makes this wine a great match for a meal. It would be perfect for a welcome drink or with blue cheese (or the Alsatian national cheese Münster), fruit tarts, sorbet or soufflé.
Serve it at approx. 8-10 degrees. It would be a shame to serve the wine too cold, as its character and finesse will not come through.
