It's not every day you get the opportunity to buy a good rum from such an old vintage, so when we had the opportunity to purchase a smaller batch of Malecon 1979 we couldn't say no.

Malecon Seleccion Esplendida has been aged in casks all the way from 1979 until today, nothing else has been added and the rum in the glass is therefore 40 years old!
The fully mature rum has a pleasantly rounded fullness, light notes of dried fruit and apricot and a long, persistent aftertaste.
