O'Neill's Single Malt Sherry Cask

O'Neill's Single Malt Irish Whiskey Sherry Cask Finish 40% is an elegant whiskey distilled 3 times and aged in ex-bourbon casks, after which the whiskey is aged in old sherry casks.

It is a single malt whiskey, which means it only contains malt whiskey and no grain whiskey.

The three distillations make the liquid more smooth and elegant, tone down the taste a bit and remove a lot of impurities. The combination of this and the double aging gives a great result.

O'Neills can be drunk neat, or with a little water if you want to open up the whiskey a bit.

The sherry cask, like the port cask, gives a vinous tone, however it is more elegant here. There is a touch of sweetness and great body in the whiskey, which is very value for money here. Try it in a large cognac glass, otherwise in a regular whiskey glass.
