BESKRIVELSE

The Thalabert property was one of the first Paul Jaboulet purchased, and has thus been part of the wine house for almost 200 years.
Being the oldest Domaine naturally gives Thalabert a special status, almost on par with the house's legendary La Chapelle Hermitage .
This red wine is made from Syrah, which here comes from the Domaine de Thalabert estate, which has belonged to Paul Jaboulet Aine since 1834 and is the oldest domaine in the appellation. The vines on the 45 hectares are between 40 and 60 years old and yield a very small yield.

The red wine has been matured for 12 months in wooden barrels and has a dark red, dense color. The aroma is deep, with concentrated notes of cherries, wild berries and English liquorice. The taste is also incredibly deep and complex, with notes of wild plums, spices, liquorice and tar.
Should be served in large glasses at 16 - 18 degrees and enjoyed with good friends with a roast or other good meat.
