The Bourgogne Côte d'Or Blanc from Domaine Philippe Bouzereau is produced with Chardonnay grapes from the Les Pellans, Les Millerands and Les Murgers de Limozin plots (total 1.87 ha.), with vines planted in 1950 and 2001. The plots are located in the lower part of the Meursault commune, where the soil is very deep and consists mostly of clay, lime and sand. Since 2015, they have been in transition to organic cultivation.

The must is fermented in oak barrels with continuous “batonnage” (stirring), and the wine is then matured on its “lie” (leak) for 12 months in used 228 and 300 l barrels. Before bottling, the wine is lightly clarified, but not filtered, to preserve optimal fruit and finesse.

The wine has a beautiful, light golden color, and the aroma is very aromatic and generous with delicious, fruity nuances of white peaches, apricots and wild flowers. In the taste, the wine has a good fatness and minerality, but it is the freshness and precision that win in the end. A very appetizing and delicious white wine, which does not deny its origin in Meursault, with an underlying creamy style.

The wine is ideal for appetizers with seafood, vegetables and salads, as well as classic fish and seafood dishes. Also use it with poultry or veal in light sauces and with classic red cheeses.
