BESKRIVELSE

In the shadow of Europe's largest volcano, Etna, the grapes for Etna Rosso are grown. The high-lying vineyards are sparsely planted with only 5-10,000 vines per hectare - this, together with the location 521 meters above sea level, means that the grapes do not yield as much, but in return complex and refined wines with lots of finesse.

At the Feudo di Mezzo winery, the grapes are gently vinified and then aged in small wooden barrels for 6 months.
The result is a beautiful purple-colored red wine, with an aroma of rosehip and cherry, as well as vanilla and chocolate.
The taste is initially light, but if it is allowed to decant for 1 hour before serving, it develops in a darker direction and shows more weight. There are good tannins in the aftertaste, where you also sense plums and pomegranates.
Enjoy Etna Rosso with light meat dishes such as veal or pork. It is also perfect with pasta or risotto - in short; all Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
