Plantation Panama Vintage 2010 Limited Edition is part of the Plantation Vintage rum series from French Maison Ferrand.

To produce this outstanding rum, Plantation ventured into the dark and mysterious jungles of Panama. Here, surrounded by lush green vegetation, they found the Don José distillery. Founded on what was the Republic of Panama’s first sugar mill – and a full day’s journey from the nearest town – this remote location offered 22 exquisite casks of the finest Panama 2010 vintage. The region’s tropical conditions and humid climate all contribute to the creation of this truly unique rum.

Utilizing Plantation Rum's signature double-maturation technique, the rum has matured for 8 years in Central America, followed by a transatlantic journey to southwest France and a further 5 years of maturation in French oak barrels.

Inspired by the distillery's mystical surroundings, each bottle of Panama 2010 pays homage to the distillery's lush and fertile surroundings. A golden frog, jaguar and sloth – animals native to the dense Panamanian jungle.

Plantation Panama Vintage 2010 Limited Edition has a scent that is aromatic and fruity, with notes of fresh coconut and dill emerging alongside plum, nectarine, citrus, almond, cinnamon, vanilla, honey and sesame. When it hits the palate, you are met with a fresh, fruity and spicy taste, with nuances of pear, berries and orange dominating, accompanied by subtle hints of coffee and pepper. The aftertaste is long and dry, with coconut, banana, tobacco, allspice, chocolate and licorice providing a rich and deep finish. 51.4% – 70 cl.
