Plantation Pineapple Rum

Plantation Pineapple is based on an old recipe from 1824. Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel and cocktail historian David Wonderich have created the sweet and easy-drinking Plantation Pineapple based on the traditional recipe.

Before column distillation became widespread in the mid-19th century, rum could be a violent and hard-hitting experience, which is why rum was sweetened in various ways to make it more easily accessible, usually with extracts of various fruits.

Pineapple quickly became the most widespread and finest version - and it is this recipe that Plantation is based on, where the blend of white and dark rum is infused with pineapple and aged in barrels for 3-6 months.

The taste is fresh and full of sweetness with notes of citrus, pineapple and spices.

Enjoy it 'neat' or as an ingredient in a rum-based cocktail.
