BESKRIVELSE

Barrel-aged in Ramos Pinto's cellars for a number of years, this Tawny is the harmonious result of several wines. From Ramos Pinto's own vineyards, some of the best in the Douro region, these wines have been aged for decades in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia.

Tasting notes

A beautiful, classic Tawny color with orange tones, light at the bottom of the glass with traces of the Tawny's blush, which develops into a greenish ring at the top of the glass - characteristic of old barrel-aged wines.

It has a remarkably elegant aroma. Warm and charming is the first impression; vanilla and dried fruit are the next impression, a result of the long aging. Swirl it lightly in the glass and delicious spicy notes of cinnamon and cocoa intrude.

The taste is silky and warm, starting with nuts, almonds and hazelnut, lots of freshness and a pleasantly long finish with lingering licorice.

Serve it as the end of a good dinner, alone or as part of a dessert with nuts or mango. TastingClub recommends a serving temperature of 16-18 degrees.
