Salco' Vino Nobile de Montepulciano is only produced in top vintages and is made from the Prugnolo Gentile grape from the 'Salco' vineyards (2 ha.), grown according to organic and biodynamic principles.

This wine is aged in barrel for two years, with the main weight (70%) placed in 500 l 'tonneaux' and the rest in large 'bottes'. After bottling, the wine is aged for over 36-48 months in bottles.

Salco is a prime example of how to make a wine that is both meaty, high in alcohol (14%) and at the same time has finesse, delicacy and class.

Here you will find classic notes of great Montepulciano wines: tobacco, licorice, a bit of tar, but also more volatile aromas of wild flowers and berries (rosehip, juniper). It fills the nose and mouth with lots of impressions and leaves a very intense experience.

Enjoy it for special occasions. It is a wine that can easily be stored in the cellar for 12-15 years. Serve it with beef, venison, lamb or duck. Serving temperature: 18-20°C.
