The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old is a unique and well-balanced single malt whisky. It owes its complex character to a mix of cask aging in both American and Spanish oak, both pre-matured with Spanish Oloroso sherry. The American oak cask brings out subtle nuances of vanilla, while the Spanish oak cask contributes full-bodied flavors of dried fruit, various spices and a touch of cinnamon.

The scent : Creamy caramel with a hint of toffee apple, candied orange, vanilla cream and freshly cut oak.

Taste : Delicious sweetness from honey combined with woody spices and citrus. This is balanced with notes of raisins and caramel.
