Collection: Hubert Beck - Alsace

Hubert Beck was originally a small family business in the very beautiful town of Dambach-la-Ville near the town of Selestat. Several generations of the Beck family have been involved in winegrowing or wine trade since 1579 in Dambach. But in 2010 – when neither of Hubert and Flora Beck’s two children wanted to take over the vineyard – they sold the company and the 8 hectares of organically grown vineyards to a colleague in the town: Ruhlmann-Schutz.

The new owners were not novices, as Ruhlmann-Schutz was founded in 1688. Since 1993, the couples Christine (daughter) and Jean-Victor Schutz, as well as Laurence and André (son) Ruhlmann, have been at the helm. The company today produces wines on approx. 30 ha. vineyards and is known and respected as one of the absolute best wine producers in the area. However, it is still Hubert Beck who is responsible for the cultivation on “his” vineyards.
