Few people have meant as much to wine production as Angelo Gaja , a man who has the status of a living legend, not just in Italy, but throughout the world.

When Angelo Gaja is today considered one of the world's greatest personalities in the wine industry, it is not because of the size of his vineyard, which does not exceed 57 hectares. The vineyards are of course ideal, but what is crucial is Gaja's great personality and his uncompromising fight to produce the best, and he likes to go his own way.

Among other things, when he was very young (24 years old), he took the drastic step of reducing the yield from 75/80 hl. per ha. to approximately 35 hl. per ha. No one before him had the courage to do that. Some of Gaja's wines are expensive like few others and others are actually quite reasonable in price, especially when you consider the great qualities. Gaja has never been cheap, but he offers experiences about which one must say: "No one above and no one next to" and there is quality and taste experiences for every penny!

The wines from GAJA are constantly getting better. If GAJA's wines are to reach higher levels of quality, Robert Parker and other wine writers will have to expand their rating systems, as they are already at the top today!
